Sandrine Philippe’s fall 2016 collection is not bad despite the obvious struggle with originality that will hopefully morph into a more distinct style. Some solid futurist military styles, however unfinished and broken looks should not necessary be viewed in a literal sense i.e un-stitched and ‘designer holes’. A dystopia look can be achieved without the deliberate wear and tear (refer to Rick Owens review).
As a side note, discussed in Yohji Yamamoto. Spring Fashion Week 2016 – Paris , the Japanese avant-garde designers and their influence (early 80s) are solely responsible for giving Paris Fashion week/s its edgy appeal.
