What an amazing collection for Resort, once again, as noted there seems to be a more avant garde drive in some of these collections. Black doesn’t necessarily mean a bleak gothic look, it depends on the format and construction of ideas in which, undoubtedly, Yohji Yamamoto is a master and excellent reference point in how to combine the dark and light within it’s shades and weaves – this also includes a blend of base colors, such as yellow, white and browns. It is great to see Acne has taken an inspirational style, that being the tie dye and made it more of a contemporary, manipulated color look and enveloped as a draped style. The range also has a futurist feel, with the prosthetic style limbs, although despite it stoic appeal, there is an overall 1960s counterculture homage mixed with a dystopian cityscape in an unknown future.
