While the West spins around on the spot, overly reliant on the East for trade and resources.  It is with out doubt one must admire the enemy, it is our weakness that needs to be etched out   笑裏藏刀/笑里藏刀, Xiào lǐ cáng dāo Hide a knife behind a smile.

Regardless this is a new cold war, in which the West should deliver a warning and counter against the destabilization from China, Russia and the Middle East.  For us to do this, we must endure high oil costs and recession (economic) conditions.  This luxury of left and right politics jostling within the nonsensical and indulgent is meaningless when our enemies are moving closer to our boarders.

From Reuters

“China claims most of the South China Sea, through which more than $5 trillion of trade moves annually. Brunei, Malaysia, the Philippines, Taiwan and Vietnam have rival claims.

China has repeatedly blamed the United States for stoking tension in the region through its military patrols, and of taking sides in the dispute.

The United States has sought to assert its right to freedom of navigation in the South China Sea with its patrols and denies taking sides in the territorial disputes.

Russia has been a strong backer of China’s stance on the arbitration case, which was brought by the Philippines.”
